eduroam for Guests (Anyroam)

Oakland University uses Anyroam to provide guest wireless access to visitors, who are not served by eduroam already.

Note: If you are from an institution that uses eduroam and have connected to it before, you should not have to do anything.

iOS

Note: you must use Safari to enroll with Anyroam.

  1. Using an existing network connection, open Safari and go to https://anyroam.cloudpath.net

  2. At the Welcome to AnyRoam screen, review the information provided and press the Continue button

  3. At the ANYROAM Terms of Use screen, review the terms of use and if you are at least 13 years of age, check the box to indicate that you are at least 13 years of age and press the Start button
  4. Select the radio button for “Send TXT Message”, enter your cell phone number in the Phone Number field and press the Send button
  5. Enter the Verification Code that was just sent to you into the Verification Code field and press the Continue> button

  6. When prompted click “Allow” to open Settings
  7. Click Install
  8. Enter the PIN for your device
  9. Click Install two more times
  10. Click Done

ANDROID

  1. Using an existing network connection, open a browser and go to https://anyroam.cloudpath.net

  2. At the Welcome to AnyRoam screen, review the information provided and press the Continue button

  3. At the ANYROAM Terms of Use screen, review the terms of use and if you are at least 13 years of age, check the box to indicate that you are at least 13 years of age and press the Start button
  4. Select the radio button for “Send TXT Message”, enter your cell phone number in the Phone Number field and press the Send button
  5. Enter the Verification Code that was just sent to you into the Verification Code field and press the Continue> button

  6. At the Android Devices screen, press the Install the Network button
  7. At the pop-up menu, select the Get it on Google Play option
  8. Within Google Play, click the Install button to install Ruckus Cloudpath
  9. Once Ruckus Cloudpath is installed, click the Open button to connect to the network
  10. Once the application has finished connecting you to the wireless network, click the Done button at the bottom of the screen
  11. You will now be connected to the eduroam SSID

Windows

  1. Using an existing network connection, open a browser and go to https://anyroam.cloudpath.net

  2. At the Welcome to AnyRoam screen, review the information provided and press the Continue button

  3. At the ANYROAM Terms of Use screen, review the terms of use and if you are at least 13 years of age, check the box to indicate that you are at least 13 years of age and press the Start button
  4. Select the radio button for “Send TXT Message”, enter your cell phone number in the Phone Number field and press the Send button
  5. Enter the Verification Code that was just sent to you into the Verification Code field and press the Continue> button

  6. Click “Download for Windows” button
  7. Once the file has downloaded, open the program
  8. If the CloudPath Loader indicates there is a certificate error, click “Yes” to continue connecting

  9. The CloudPath Loader should finish setting up all configuration, and inform you that you are connected. You can safely close the application.

MacOS

  1. Using an existing network connection, open a browser and go to https://anyroam.cloudpath.net

  2. At the Welcome to AnyRoam screen, review the information provided and press the Continue button

  3. At the ANYROAM Terms of Use screen, review the terms of use and if you are at least 13 years of age, check the box to indicate that you are at least 13 years of age and press the Start button
  4. Select the radio button for “Send TXT Message”, enter your cell phone number in the Phone Number field and press the Send button
  5. Enter the Verification Code that was just sent to you into the Verification Code field and press the Continue> button

  6. Click “Download for Mac”
  7. Open the downloaded file
  8. When asked to Install Anyroam-Pilot, click “Continue”
  9. Click Install to confirm
    • You may have to click Install more than once
  10. Type in your password for your local machine, if prompted
