Move Banner Population Selections (GZPMVPS)
Process Purpose
This is a process that can be used to change the creator ID of population selections created by a named user, so that they appear to have been created by a different user. We need to do this because if an employee with a large number of population selections leaves the university and we subsequently delete their account, their population selections remain in the database but are unreachable. GZPMVPS "moves" the population selections to another user, so they can still be used, edited, or deleted.

If you are having any problems with this process, please file a Helpdesk ticket and choose the above module name when filing.
Dependencies
- Population selections belonging to a department are managed by a shared account for that application (e.g. FINAID_POPSEL to manage Financial Aid population selections). That account must be maintained by University Technology Services according to their standards for maintaining security on shared accounts. Departments must adhere to standards for owning shared accounts. Please refer to the OUCA Shared Account request form for more information.
- The shared account must have access to the GZPMVPS procedure in Banner, as well as the BAN_CONNECT_C, BAN_STUDENT_CONNECT_C, and BAN_STUDENT_GLOBAL_QUERY_C classes.
- After running GZPMVPS, the shared account user must run GLBPARM for their application. When running GLBPARM, use "N" for the "Extract variables indicator" parameter.
