MyPhone Documentation

Introduction:

VoIP phones allow more customization on a per-phone basis than was possible with the traditional telecom system. At Oakland University, this is done through a web interface located at myphone.oakland.edu

User Options:

After logging on with your NetID and password you can change the following options:

Speed Dial Configuration

  • Add the preferred number and label.
    • This will allow you to place your preferred numbers on speed dial and set a label to them. The label could be letters or numbers.

  • When you are finished with your changes, select “Save” at the bottom left hand corner.

Note: Speed dials are set on a per phone basis. This means if you have more than one phone they would need to be set on all phones individually. Additionally not all phones have speed dial buttons by default; currently Cisco 6941’s, 6961’s, and 7962’s support speed dial buttons by default

Dialing from your phone

  • When dialing from your Voip Phone, you select the number you want to dial and press: AbbrDial. This will directly call the number stored under the fast dial.

Note: Some changes will cause your phone to need to re-register with the Call Manager. This is normal and should only last for a few seconds. This will not affect any calls in progress
