How to set up OU Email and OU Calendar on an iOS Device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

OU Email
NOTE: If you have already done steps 1-4 when setting up Mac Mail, you can skip these steps
1. First, you will need to enable IMAP in the Webmail powered by Google settings.
a. Click on the settings link in the upper right of the screen [see image]
b. Click on the tab titled "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" [see image]
c. Click on the button to enable IMAP [see image]
2. You will then need to ensure your email password is eight to ten characters long. If it is not you can reset it by going here https://netid.oakland.edu/profile/authOUCAReset.php
3. You will also need to synchronize your password by going to https://netid.oakland.edu/gmailsync/
4. Perform the unlock captcha at https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha
5. Now go into your Device's "Settings" app, tap on "Mail, Contacts, and Calenders" [see image]
6. Click "Add Account" and choose "Gmail" [see images]
7. Enter the following info:
Name: Your desired name
Address: Enter your full OU email address
Password: Enter your OU email password
Description: Enter whatever you choose

8. Click Next. The account should be automatically setup from there. Open the "Mail" app to view your email
OU Calendar
1. Follow steps 1 - 4 above from the OU Email directions if you have not done so.
2. Now go into your Device's "Settings" app, tap on "Mail, Contacts, and Calenders" [see image]
3. Click "Add Account" and choose "Other" [see image]
4. Select "Add CalDAV Account" [see image]
5. Enter the following info:
Server: www.google.com
User Name: Enter your full OU email address
Password: Enter your OU email password
Description: Enter whatever you choose
