Vendor Account Access Request Process
Overview
Vendors and consultants supporting technology projects can require access to multiple services and solutions to complete the work. This guide clarifies the process to review and grant access needed, and ensure that all UTS teams have a record of the access was provisioned for audit and security purposes.
All Consulting Requests
- 1. All consulting requests will require a Guest NetID whether they are working remote or onsite.
2. The IT Services Alliance Team will provision the account from the UTS ticket generated from the Vendor Access Form Forms Menu and work with the Senior Identity Manager to remove the Google Workspace for Education suite access. ADMNET is automatically provisioned with a NetID. Access to shares or servers are available options in the form, and appropriate access will be granted through that process.
- 3. A copy of the final contract must be attached as supporting documentation before account will be provisioned for any requests.
Process
- Requests submitted through the Vendor Access Request form will generate a UTS Ticket
- The Categories assigned are Access Request and Vendor Access
- All pertinent teams are auto assigned
- UTS Staff will review the form in the ticket and provision accounts requested or monitor footprints for additional forms required to provision access needed.
- UTS Staff will link additional account request tickets to the master ticket- the ticket created by the original submission of the Vendor Access Request Form.
- This will create an holistic view of all access provisioned to a single consultant or vendor
