MalwareBytes Breach Remediation

UTS makes MalwareBytes available for desktop support professionals to run on computers. This is a command line tool that will scan and remediate known threats.

We currently have 1850 licenses per year.

To access the software you will need access to \\SHARES\casoft$

To run the tool:

1. Login to the computer you wish to scan as a user with administrative privilege.

2. Open a PowerShell command prompt as Administrator

3. Navigate to the MalwareBytes directory.

   •        cd \\shares.oakland.edu\casoft$\malwarebytes

4. Bypass the execution policy and run the script.

   •        PowerShell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\start-scan.ps1
